My name is Richelle Direny, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I am committed to helping each individual learn how to cope with the stress of life, having too many responsibilities, anxiety, setting clear boundaries and coping with decline in functioning and other stressors in life.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Qualified Supervisor with more than 10 years of experience, I am honored to join your journey towards personal growth and well-being. Through my practice, I utilize various therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Emotional Awareness techniques, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy – My aim is to help you become the best version of yourself while managing whatever season of life may arise for you personally.

My extensive experience spans various settings and populations. I have worked with teenagers, parents, employing Multisystemic Therapy (MST), an evidence-based modality which addresses all the interdependent systems within an individual’s life. Furthermore, I have had the honor of serving veterans through the Veteran Affairs system as well as individuals dealing with substance abuse through individual and group therapy sessions.

I firmly believe in the power of creating an engaging therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, validated and supported. Together we will explore your individual strengths and challenges with an eye towards recognizing and overcoming any barriers or hurdles to leading a more fulfilling life. My ultimate aim is to give you tools, insights and strategies for positive transformation that lead to long-term change for a more fulfilled existence.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an approach to therapy that is both compassionate and effective; it aims to harness the connections between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to bring about change in your life. I provide a safe and non-judgmental space where both partners can openly express their thoughts, emotions, and concerns in an open manner. Couples Therapy allows us to collaborate together on finding solutions to challenges and address any underlying issues which are straining your relationship.

Through deep listening, empathy, and effective communication techniques we foster understanding and seek ways to work towards resolution. I am here to support both of you on your journey together, providing guidance, tools, and strategies to enhance communication, rebuild trust, and develop a loving and fulfilling partnership. Caregiver burnout is a familiar experience among those providing care to loved ones in an unselfish manner, and I want to acknowledge its effects on emotional, physical, and mental well-being. As a therapist, I recognize the unique strain this role may place upon individuals. Caregiver burnout can leave you exhausted, overwhelmed, and isolated – yet it is essential that caregivers recognize that their own well-being matters, too.

Gerontology is an approach tailored to meeting the specific mental health needs of older adults. I understand both the joys and difficulties associated with growing older. Gerontology therapy allows us to explore a broad spectrum of issues, such as life transitions, grief management and managing age-related changes as well as health concerns related to caregiving and eldercare. Collectively, we aim to create a safe and supportive space where your experiences and knowledge can be valued.
